Cuban leaders stand out endurance of Marti´s thinking.

Mart is an essential reference against the capitalist world, which is increasingly cruel due to pandemic and selfishness of the powers, meant Rogelio Polanco Fuentes, member of the Secretariat of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba, in an act carried out at Jose Marti Memorial, in Havana, in celebration of the National Hero´s birth.

Esteban Lazo Hernández, member of the Political Bureau and President of the National Assembly of the People´s Power and Aylín Álvarez García, First Secretary of the National Committee of the Communist Youth Union and member of the Council of State, among other functionaries and researchers of the work of the Cuban thinker attended to the ceremony.

Polanco Fuentes, also head of the Ideological Department of the Central Committee, highlighted the importance of celebrating this date, which constitutes a perceptible evidence of the final triumph of the ideal of the organizer of the Necessary War.

During the symbolic meeting with the most universal of all Cubans, the Day of more than a year activities honoring Marti´s line of thinking, started.

Eduardo Torres Cuevas, PhD in Historical Sciences and director of the Office of the Martiano Program defined the apostle´s image as a reincarnation of Good and source of the everlasting Cuban feeling.

All of them agreed that in our National Hero, thinking and vision of a better world that begins with the collective consciousness formation, coincide.

Yusuam Palacio Ortega, President of the movement ¨Young Followers of Martí¨ assessed as organic the indissoluble bound between the hero´s life and the social and cultural work of the Revolution.

Palacio Ortega stood out that the task for the present times is to read Marti´s work, to feel it and to join him in his invitation of doing things for the Homeland.

This was a propitious occasion for announcing the re-edition of the two-volumes Jose Martí´s Páginas Escogidas, compiled by the Cuban intellectual Roberto Fernández Retamar.
