Activists from the United States and Spain tour communities in transformation of Boyeros

In this Havana municipality they exchanged with residents of the Jesús Menéndez and Buenos Aires communities.

The rain that fell this Sunday in Havana did not prevent activists from the United States and Spain, in solidarity with the Cuban Revolution, from visiting communities in transformation in the capital's Boyeros municipality, where they exchanged with the population.

David Adler, general coordinator of Progressive International, and Mathew Kirkegard, accompanied by the Hero of the Republic of Cuba Gerardo Hernández Nordelo, national coordinator of the Committees for the Defense of the Revolution (CDR) and member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba and the Council of State, exchanged with the residents of the Jesús Menéndez Community.

They toured the children's playground, the warehouse and the Family Doctor and Nurse's Office, facilities built and renovated as part of the transformation process carried out by the neighbors in neighborhoods of the capital with the help of the Party and the Government. At the Clinic they received information about the development of the vaccination process in the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic as well as the work in primary health care.

They also visited the houses being built for mothers with more than three children. Hernández Nordelo presented the activists with copies of the book Zona Roja , written by journalist Enrique Ubieta.

The activists were accompanied on their journey by Eddy Betancourt Escobar, president of the Municipal Assembly of People's Power of Boyeros, and Irina Serra Podio, provincial coordinator of the CDR in Havana.
