¨A biography if some 500 pages… it is almost a sacrilege if his protagonist is Fidel Castro Ruz. Would it be possible to think that his existence is only 90 years old in temporal terms? ¨ expressed the Cuban journalist and researcher Katiuska Blanco Castiñeira during the presentation of her most recent title, dedicated to the historical leader of the Cuban Revolution.

The work was presented at the Multipurpose Hall of the Fidel Castro Ruz Center in the capital, and according to the author, her desire was to deliver a ¨didactic synthesis ¨that includes a photographic memory made up of 72 images.

¨It is really a titanic and audacious task to try to biograph a figure of such colossal dimensions¨, said Elier Ramírez Cañedo, Ph.D. in Historical Sciences.

Referring to the title, Ramírez Cañedo said that it is the first book published with satisfaction and pride by the Ediciones Alejandro and El Cubano libre printing house, both belonging to the institution.

¨The new and future generations will then have on their hands a biography that stands out for its veracity and for having a deep accumulated knowledge¨, he stated.

He highlighted as a contribution and fundamental novelty of the text, all the space dedicated to the period after the triumph of the Cuban Revolution in 1959, a stage, in his opinion, less known and divulged by the new generations.

Katiuska Blanco in her words to those presents, expressed: ¨I am the grateful one¨ and acknowledged the team that worked with her in this challenge, especially Army General Raúl Castro Ruz, the book´s inspiring soul.

¨May the knowledge and feelings about an inspiring life such as Fidel´s come together in belonging and militancy to a generous and courageous cause such as the Cuban Revolution¨, said Katiuska.

In the presentation and delivery of the firsts copies, the author was companied by Rogelio Polanco, member of the Secretariat of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba and Head of its Ideological Department, the Director of the institution, René Barrios and participants in the creative process of the work among others.

Blanco Castiñeira is the author of several books dedicated to the Comandante. Among them are Todo el tiempo de los cedros(Fidel´s family landscape), Ángel, la raiz gallega de Fidel and Fidel Castro Ruz, guerrillero del tiempo.
