9 new positive reported cases of Covid- 19 from the 110 new positive are from La Habana

The Ministry of Health´s web site informed that at the end of yesterday, December 3rd, 110 new positive cases were confirmed for a total of 963 002 since the beginning of the outbreak on March 11th ,2020.

3393 patients remain in hospital admission, 2693 suspicious and 92 under medical surveillance.

To date, 8307 deaths by coronavirus (1 belonging to the day) have been reported, and 608 active cases of which 585 with a stable clinical evolution; a total of 148 (belonging to the day) patients were discharged from hospitals for a total of 954 030 (99.1%) medical or epidemiological discharges.

9 cases were identified in the capital, 8 of them native and 1 imported.8 municipalities reported cases.

The most affected municipalities in Habana were Habana del Este(2), Arroyo Naranjo, Boyeros, Diez de Octubre,Guanabacoa, Habana Vieja, Lisa and Plaza de la Revolución(1).

21 178 tests were studied for Covid- 19, 110 were positive samples, whether with PCR or by antigen. The country accumulates 11 182 793 analyzed samples of which 962 040 were positive.

Of the confirmed cases, 106 people were contacts of confirmed cases,3 with source of infection from abroad and 1 with unknown source of infection.

There were 110 native cases this Friday and 3 imported of which 50 female and 60 male cases.

23 diagnosed patients remain in the Intensive Care Unit, of them 13 critical and 10 seriously ill. 

This Friday the amount of asymptomatic cases decreased to 17.2% (19), for a total of 132 638, which represents a 13.8% of the confirmed cases to the date.

Of the 110 confirmed cases, 17 were under 20 years of age; 24 between 20 and 39; 41 between 40 and 59 and 28, over 60.

The death rate for Covid -19 in Cuba, in December 3rd, 2021 is 0.86% per million inhabitants which is lower than the 1.98% for the world and the 2.42 % for the Americas region.
