Booster vaccination will begin this Monday in Havana in four municipalities with one dose of the Abdala vaccine.

Nilda Roca Menéndez, deputy director of the Provincial Health Directorate, said that the territories selected are Guanabacoa, Regla, Habana del Este and San Miguel del Padrón, according to information released on Thursday during the session of the Temporary Working Group in the capital.

These municipalities were chosen because they were the ones on which the immunization process to the population started in May. At the moment all the vaccination sites, the means of transport and cold chain to keep the bulbs at the right temperature are already assured.

The physician explained that al people who are not convalescent from Covid-19 and who have been immunized for sic month with the complete scheme of any vaccine will be included.

Regarding the ongoing vaccination process, it was reported that 95.8% of the possible universe to be vaccinated have received the first dose and 89.1% of the population has completed the immunization schedule.
