Havana will host the Nuevo Cine Latino-Americano International Film Festival

The Chair Board of the Nuevo Cine Latino- Americano International Film Festival informed that from December 3rd to December 12th, the second part of the 42nd edition of the Festival will be carried out.

This second opportunity fulfills a first moment realized on December 2020, on which film projection rooms were a safe place for the public that decided to enjoy of the Seventh Art.

In this sense, the Festival proposes to continue work programmed for the first during the first stage of this edition and therefore to present the Official Competition of the 24nd edition this December, that embraces the categories of Short Films and Fiction Films, Documentaries, Opera Prima, Animated Films as well as the Post-Production Coral Award.   

During the upcoming days the Projection Program will be informed through the Festival´s web site.

There will be on sale the Diario 0, printed version of the program corresponding to this second stage of projection of the 42nd edition that could be acquired on the cinemas´ box offices by a price of 5.00 cup in all the movie theaters included in the Festival´s circuit. Tickets could be used in all movie theaters of this circuit.

Facing a program of events that has had to be reinvented in the digital platforms, the Film Festival of Havana has always bet on in person attendance in the screening rooms, due to people´s influx to cinemas is one of the main features that characterizes this Festival, even though in several editions it has been possible to enjoy of live transmissions through its networks.

One of the greatest accomplishments last year was to count on with a quality cinematographic program in screening rooms were Cuban hygienic and epidemiological measures were respected.

The 42nd edition Awards will be granted on Friday 10th and cinematographic projections will continue to Sunday 12th, in all cinemas belonging to the Proyecto 23.
