Dr. Francisco Durán, National Director of Epidemiology of the Ministry of Public Health, in a press conference, at the end of yesterday, November 13th, stated that, 348 new positive cases were confirmed for a total of 958 738.

To date, 8282 deaths by coronavirus (3 belong to the day) have been reported, and 1750 active cases of which 1700 with a stable clinical evolution; a total of 396(belonging to the day) patients were discharged from hospitals for a total of 948 649(98.9%) medical or epidemiological discharges. 6714 patients remain in hospital admission, 4744 suspicious and 220 under medical surveillance.

The incidence rate is still decreasing in all the municipalities in Havana, except in the municipalities of San Miguel, Centro Habana and Cerro the rest of them reported cases.

The most affected municipalities in Habana were Habana del Este, Boyeros, Diez de Octubre, Guanabacoa, Playa and Arroyo Naranjo(2),Plaza de la Revolución ,La Lisa, Habana Vieja, Marianao, Cotorro and Regla(1).

19 978 tests were studied for Covid- 19, 396 were positive samples, whether with PCR or by antigen. The country accumulates 10 797 376 analyzed samples of which 958 738 were positive.

Of the confirmed cases,339 people were contacts of confirmed cases,3 with source of infection from abroad and 6 with unknown source of infection.

There were 345 native cases this Saturday and 6 imported of which 174 both female and male cases.

50 diagnosed patients remain in the Intensive Care Unit, of them 19 critical and 31 seriously ill. 

This Saturday the amount of asymptomatic cases decreased to 14.9%(52), for a total of 132 042, which represents a 13.7% of the confirmed cases to the date.

Of the 348 confirmed cases, 65 were under 20 years of age; 69 between 20 and 39; 95 between 40 and 59 and 119, over 60.

The death rate for Covid -19 in Cuba, in November 13th, 2021 is 0.86% per million inhabitants which is lower than the 2.02% for the world and the 2.44 % for the Americas region.
