Dr. Francisco Durán, National Director of Epidemiology of the Ministry of Public Health, in a press conference, at the end of yesterday, November 12th, stated that, 362 new positive cases were confirmed for a total of 958 097.

To date, 8279 deaths by coronavirus (1 belong to the day) have been reported, and 2045 active cases of which 1987 with a stable clinical evolution; a total of 390(belonging to the day) patients were discharged from hospitals for a total of 974 716(98.9%) medical or epidemiological discharges. 6761 patients remain in hospital admission, 4480 suspicious and 236 under medical surveillance.

The incidence rate is still decreasing in all the municipalities in Havana, except in the municipality of San Miguel, the rest of the municipalities reported cases.

The most affected municipalities in Habana were Habana del Este, Boyeros and Diez de Octubre(3), Guanabacoa, La Lisa, Cerro,Playa, Arroyo Naranjo, Centro Habana, Plaza de la Revolución (2), Marianao, San Miguel del Padrón, Habana Vieja and Regla(1).

18 720 tests were studied for Covid- 19, 362 were positive samples, whether with PCR or by antigen. The country accumulates 10 757 182 analyzed samples of which 958 097 were positive.

Of the confirmed cases,354 people were contacts of confirmed cases,6 with source of infection from abroad and 2 with unknown source of infection.

There were 356 native cases this Monday and 6 imported of which 204 female and 158 male cases.

58 diagnosed patients remain in the Intensive Care Unit, of them 15 critical and 43 seriously ill. 

This Monday the amount of asymptomatic cases decreased to 19.3%(70), for a total of 131 937, which represents a 13.8% of the confirmed cases to the date.

Of the 362 confirmed cases, 70 were under 20 years of age; 83 between 20 and 39; 121 between 40 and 59 and 88, over 60.

The death rate for Covid -19 in Cuba, in November 12th, 2021 is 0.86% per million inhabitants which is lower than the 2.02% for the world and the 2.44 % for the Americas region.
