
Commerce restriction is discontinued in the municipalities as of November 5th
Taking into account the gradual improvement of the epidemiological situation and the measures taken to open the province, the Temporary Working Group(GTT) for the fight against Covid-19 outbreak, some changes were agreed related to the functioning of commerce in the current circumstances for its organizing and complying.
Among the measures that will get into force as of November 5th there is the agreement of the elimination of the commerce restrictions in the municipalities, so that people are able to purchase goods anywhere in the city.
According to what was decided, the use of the Food Card is still working as an access means to regulate the attendance to CIMEX´s establishments and Caribe Chain Stores in order to purchase the regulated products such as chicken, cooking oil, detergent and the HD converter device, at any place in the city.
The sale of some products will continue limited to family nuclei: chicken (up to 5kg or the equivalent), cooking oil (up to 2 lts or the equivalent), detergent (1 kg or the equivalent). These products regulation is considered for a month consumption.
In the case of a big family nuclei, it will be allowed the purchase for more than one time during the month, which is the same regulation but it is been taken into consideration the amount of products in accordance with the amount of people that make up the family.
Families with 1 to 8 people in their nuclei, will be able to purchase the regulated products once a month, families with 9 to 16 people in their nuclei will be able to purchase them twice a month, and families with a more members in their nuclei will purchase the products three times a month.
It was also agreed that products purchased will be registered in the Food Card in the page corresponding to the current month and the registration of these products will be carried out by the Grupo de Lucha contra los Coleros (Fight Group against Hoarders) (LCC in Spanish). For the control in the queues, Porter@and cola.cuautomated system is still being used.
Indications related to the acting of the established Groups are still in force, regarding people distancing when queueing, previous information provided to population about the products that will be commercialized, regulations on the period of time established for the purchase of the products through informatics applications and some others that have been applied since the beginning of this operation.
It has been determined to keep regulations on the amount of consumers and clients established for regular times but with the strict use of face masks and hands sanitizing at the entrance of the establishments, in order to decrease the number of people inside them.
It was emphasized to keep complying with attention provided to people with handicaps, in correspondence with what was agreed with the organizations that represent them, differencing their attention in relation to the one displayed with people with other vulnerabilities, to whom personalized attention must continue be given, mainly in their areas of residence.
According to what was informed, the provincial GTT and municipal Groups, together with the Chain Stores will keep periodic checkups on the distribution and supply of main products for each territory, under the aim of accomplishing the best possible equity.
Temporary Group in the municipalities will be able to make other decisions of organizational character in their territories, which should be arranged with all the factors intervening in the process and then, be informed to the population.
