
The Seventh Regular Sessions of the National Assembly begin next Monday
As part of the previous activities to the Seventh Regular Sessions of the National Assembly, of the IX Legislature of the Assembly of Peoples Power (Asamblea Nacional del Poder Popular (ANPP), to be hold in October 27th and 28th; the representatives will study the fourth law projects presented by the Governing Council of the People´s Supreme Court, this Monday; in the exercise of the legislative initiative and in compliance with the Tenth Transitional Regulations of the Constitution of the Republic of Cuba
The parliamentarians will analyze the law projects of the Courts of Justice, the Administrative Process, the Code of Processes and the Code of Criminal Processes which were recently considered by Homero Acosta Álvarez, the Cuban Legislative Secretary as relevant since they mean a “deep procedural reform”
These regulations, which will be carefully studied by the National Asembly, have been discussed by the parliamentarians, jurists, institutions, organizations and universities the last months and have been enriched with the comments and opinions of the population.
In view of promoting the citizens participation in this process, the full texts of the four law projects were published in the Website of ANPP and the popular Supreme Court, e.mails and a telephone line were ready for the population to give its opinions.
Other features of the Seventh Regular Sessions
The representative of Havana, the parliamentarians elected by other municipalities of the country, who live in this city, besides the members of the State Council will be in the Convention Palace of the Cuban capital. The others legislators taking part in this event will do it through video conferences from their provinces. The activities will occur in a semi face- to- face way.
The Supreme Organ of the Peoples Power of the State will be following the hygienic- sanitary measures taken by the country facing the Pandemic Covid -19, in their sessions. Some actions will be taken , to guarantee a medical and epidemiological plan, which includes the fulfilling of sanitary regulations where the parliamentarians will stay, the transportation means, the cleanliness of the rooms, the social physical distancing of the parliamentarians and the supporting staff in the sessions, as well as the PCR tests for the participants.
The Seventh Regular Sessions of the Cuban Parliament will also analyze the course of economy in the first semester of the year 2021, the report on the calculations regarding the State budget of the year 2020, the results of the Organization Task, the updating of the contributions by the Science in facing Covid-19, besides the discussions about the four law projects.
Likewise, the representatives will perceive the results of the High Supervision to the Ministry of Construction, the documents approved in the 8th Congress of the Communist Party- Report about the updating of the regulations of the Economy and Social Policy of the Party and the Revolution and the presentation of the Updating Conceptualization of the Economical and Social Cuban Model of Socialist Development- as well as the agreements and decree laws issued by the Council of State.
