Cuban president visits social and local development projects in Havana

Miguel Díaz-Canel, First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba and President of the Republic, today visited the Palomas Project, an audiovisual production house.

The official Twitter account of the Presidency highlighted Díaz-Canel's visit and expressed that in this the president addressed the need to accompany all the realities of Cuban society and make them visible.

For years the Palomas Project has been dedicated to recording life stories that do not always have the necessary promotion in the media, the tweet refers.

"The President @DiazCanelB visits Proyecto Palomas, an audiovisual production house that for years has been dedicated to recording life stories that do not always have the necessary promotion in the media. They talk about accompanying realities and giving a face to all," he tweeted The presidency.

The Palomas Project, created and directed by the artist, documentary filmmaker and filmmaker Lizette Vila, has socio-cultural and humanistic functions, non-profit, and develops a work aimed at diversity, changes in lifestyles and the promotion of a culture of peace.

The president also visited the local development project Hands useful for the home in the Guanabacoa municipality, in which hygiene and cleaning products for the home and different types of facilities are developed, as well as soaps and disinfectants.

The official Twitter account of the Presidency highlighted Díaz-Canel's visit to that center of the capital and recalled the importance of achieving a greater productive chain for the country's economy.

"The President @DiazCanelB now visits the local development project Helpful Hands for the Home, in Guanabacoa, where hygiene and cleaning products for the home and institutions, soap and disinfectants are developed. Achieving a greater productive chain is vital," the Presidency tweeted.
