In the capital, the closing hours for Caribe and CIMEX stores are extended

As from October 4th, the small and medium-sized stores belonging to Caribe and CIMEX chain stores will extend their opening hours until 630 p.m. while the large shopping malls (Carlos III, La Época, Cuatro Caminos, among others) and the stores of the Cupet service centers will work until 8:00p.m.

The information was made known on Friday, October 1st, during the session of the Temporary Working Group(GTT) for the fight against the Covi-19 pandemic in the capital, in which it was announced that the establishments will close at two o’clock in the afternoon on Sundays.

The vice-president of the Provincial Administration Council, Luis Carlos Góngora Domínguez, explained that the new measure is applied taking into account the extension of the schedule for nighttime mobility until 10:30 p.m., which came to force last September 24th.

The official also said that yesterday the municipals groups of the Fight against Coleros (Coleros: individuals that hoard products by queuing and buying articles as much as they can in order to later sale them at higher prices in the black market) identified 16 Coleros and 103 fines were impose for violations of sanitary and prize norms.

It was reported that CIMEX Corporation´s presidency determined to replace the head of the Eastern Division, which covers the municipalities of Regla, Guanabacoa and Habana del Este, due to repeated inadequacies detected in the stores of this chain in the territory.
