Authorities, executives and cadres of the Communist Party and the Government analyzes economic indicators in Havana

The economic strategy being implemented in Havana was the focus of attention at the meeting held on September 24th at the Olo Pantoja School of Political Cadres. At the meeting attended Luis Antonio Torres Iríbar, executives and cadres of the Party and the Government and productive center of the fifteen municipalities of the capital.

Jorge Luis Villa Miranda, coordinator of the Government Programs objectives in the City, detailed that at the end of August, 93.4% of sales were not met, while eight enterprises closed the month with losses, thirteen of them without local subordination.

The cadre pointed out that among the entities in this situation, three of the are in the process of disappearing. He also clarified that the Provincial Company of Collection and the Company of Gardens will be integrated to the Provincial Company of Green Areas.

The fulfillment of the economic indicators was the main topic of the meeting.

Villa Miranda explained that the capital city fulfilled its commitment with the summer agri-food campaign by sowing 1280 hectares of land for a 102 percent of what was planned.

He pointed out as a deficiency of the Agriculture system the non-compliance with the monthly milk production plan.

Those attending the meeting visualized how the company Enrique Varona, Empresa de Servicios a la Salud, the Neurosciences Center and CEMPALAD comply with the good practices of the economy, over-fulfilling their production, sales, income, profit plans as well as their contributions to the Province.

As of the close of this month, sales tax, utility taxes, tax on taxes, and income from operations are non-compliant.

Five of the 15 municipalities are in unfavorable situation, among them Plaza de la Revolución, Habana Vieja, Marianao and Regla.
