Cuba updates its land re-ordering and urban planning policy

The regulation, approved by the Council of State decided the inauguration of the entity as an Agency of the Central Administration with the mission of proposing the Government’s policy in this regard.

With the new Decree- Law, the Instituto de Planificación Fisica disappears ans the new structure will assume the management of the aspects of design, architecture, cadaster and will exercise the leading role in the confrontation if illegalities in this area of competence.

According to this regulation, the Instituto Nacional constitutes an indivisible organic unit with functional independence and its president is responsible for the direction and regulation of the activity in the insular territory.

The provincial delegations and municipal directorates are vertically organized throughout the nation and do not depend on local institutions, according to the source.

The regulation will enter into force 30 days after been published in the Official Gazette of the Republic, on which it was published this Tuesday the Decree-Law 43 that pointed out that the Ministerio de Educación Superior has the task of proposing to the State and the Government. Once approved it will have to lead and control the policies regarded with the integral formation of university students.

It is also responsible for post-graduate education, the preparation and improvement of cadres and reserves, stimulating the development of science, technology and innovation in the Casa de Altos Estudios and affiliated institutions, as well as the extension of their work to the entire society.
