The efforts done by the Catedral People’s Council to successfully apply sanitary measures to control Covid 19 and to attend to the inhabitants of the community’s problems were recently recognized during the daily check-up of the Government’s Temporary Working Group in the municipality of Old Havana.

During the meeting of the Temporary Working Group, in which political and administrative authorities of the territory participate, it was pointed out that the local pharmacy of the Popular Council Catedral was rescued, thanks to the support of the community and the management of its president, Ángel Aguilera.

The renovated facility, which had been closed for five years, called Farmabana, is located at Empedrado Street, on the corner of Cuba Street, very close to the famous Bodeguita del Medio.

The construction work was performed by the non-agricultural cooperative Chang, which was contracted to do the work by the Havana Pharmacies Company.

In addition, the Temporary Working Group valued the food distribution program of the municipality because the population has been well served by the carriers, delegates and the Office of the Historian of the City.
