The documentary’s premiere took place at the theater of the José Martí National Library (BNJM in Spanish, Biblioteca Nacional José Martí) in the capital, as part of the activities set for celebrating the 95th anniversary of Fidel’s birth.

Realized by Casa Productora de Documentales, Mundo Latino, the audiovisual product is the eighth documentary done included in Mundo Latino’s catalog dedicated to the historic leader of the Cuban Revolution, according to a report from the Agencia Cubana de Noticias(ACN).

Omelio Borroto said, just minutes before the premiere that this is documentary made with the heart.

Breaking with the usual work method done before by the producer label, interviews were made on the spot, whenever opportunities for made them came up, gathering testimonies from people who met Fidel and shared moments with him, added Borroto.

Although those people weren’t previously prepared to talk about Fidel, they accepted to do it; that is why the documentary is so spontaneous and natural; this is a feature that characterizes it.

Borroto shared that the call and interest of learning about this personality do not end because of having made the documentary. “This is a personality we need to constantly bring to current context”.

As a revolutionary icon, work, investigations and documentaries based on him, must be created with exquisite quality and effort, we must take good care of this personality when we talk about him.
