Integral Attention Plan for neighborhoods in Plaza de la Revolución is approved

Political and governmental authorities in Plaza de la Revolución approved this week the Integral Attention Plan for Neighborhoods in social disadvantage in the territory.

These actions will be carried out in the communities of La Timba and El Fanguito, with the support of the Public Administration, Tourism, Public Health, Education, Commerce and Gastronomy sectors as well as political and mass organizations endeavor.

The First Secretary of the Communist Party of Cuba in the territory, Leira Sánchez Valdivia, expressed that it is about getting a better transformation of the situation these communities live in, which will be achieved along with the participation of their neighbors.

Intendant Fidel Hernández Arias pointed out that the renovation project will focus in a first stage on the housing construction and renovation, sidewalks construction, supplying needs for fixed telephoning service as well as the rehabilitation of family doctor and nurse’s offices.

In a second stage, some other transformations will be carried out, which will be reported at a later date.

This Saturday, July 24, Commerce and Gastronomy Fairs were held in those communities with low incomes.

For the execution of this Integral Plan we have the support of the Ministry of Communications, which was represented in the work meetings by its head Mayra Arevich Marín.

This Plan is part of a great renovation and rehabilitation that is being initiated in 62 Havana’s communities in order to respond to demands made by the most disadvantaged areas and sectors.

This weekend activities were carried out in strict compliance with sanitary and prevention protocols against Covid-19 pandemic.
