A representation of the capital's people went today to La Piragua, in front of Havana's Malecón, to participate in a political-cultural act of patriotic reaffirmation in which Army General Raúl Castro Ruz and Miguel Díaz-Canel, First Secretary of the Communist Party were present. of Cuba and President of the Republic.
Other leaders of the Party, the government and the mass organizations also attended the call from the Homeland.
The island's president denounced that in recent weeks Cuba has been subjected to a communicational political war, which has added to the intensification of the blockade in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic.
"The route of infamy is clear," said Díaz-Canel, referring to the events that occurred last Sunday in the national territory, encouraged from the United States in its effort to destabilize the nation.
"We are under the sophisticated fire of a cyberwar that includes cyberterrorism and media terrorism," he warned, while calling for an end to lies, infamy and hatred.
Cuba is deeply allergic to hatred and will never be a land of hatred, said the President of the Republic.
It is estimated that about 100,000 people participated in the event, representing the people of the Cuban capital due to the impossibility of a greater mass due to COVID-19, showed their support for the revolutionary process and their confidence in the maximum country address.
