At the Convention Palace, Commander Fidel Castro closed the meeting of Ministers of Health of the Non-Aligned Movement. He stated: "We have lived the experience and we have had the opportunity, with very few resources, to see how public medicine can work, and even today, with a double blockade, it could be said, it works, not with all the resources we would like; but for many years the country invested in hospitals"

MOVEMENT OF NON-ALIGNED COUNTRIES

It is a grouping of states that was formed in the second half of the 20th century. The aim of the members of NAM was to maintain their neutral position and not to ally themselves with any of the superpowers. The Movement operates on the basis of a style of administration that aims to be unique, non-hierarchical, rotational and participatory, allowing all member states, without any kind of differentiation or discrimination, to participate in global decision-making and world politics.
