The outstanding actor Carlos Paulín dies in Havana.
Through a long and prolific artistic career he played multiple characters especially in radio and television programs. In 2004 he was conferred the status of Merit Artist of the Cuban Institute of Radio and Television. In advance other awards were granted, among them, the Distinction for National Culture, the Radio Microphone and the 50th Anniversary of Cuban Television.
His birth occurred on May 15, 1922 in the area of Piloto, in Consolación del Sur, in the province of Pinar del Río. Isidro Barredo Paulín had his official name.
In 1934 the family moved to Havana when he was still a teenager.
